These are the ground rules that make open talk possible — who the site is for, what stays private, and what happens when someone forgets their manners.

OpenTalk.tv is for people aged 18 and over — full stop. Before anyone enters a video chat, they confirm they meet the age requirement. That isn't a formality we shrug at; it's the line that defines who this space is for. If you're under 18, this site isn't for you, and that's deliberate.
Every conversation on OpenTalk.tv is exactly two people. No audience, no public room, no comment thread scrolling alongside your face. What you say stays between you and the person you're talking to — there's no public profile for strangers to browse and no feed for your conversation to end up in.
The report and block controls live inside the chat experience, not three menus deep. If someone crosses a line, you can end the conversation, block them from being matched with you again, and file a report — without explaining yourself to anyone. And leaving always works: closing a chat takes one tap and zero justification.
A few things are never okay here: harassing or pressuring the person you're talking to, recording or sharing images of someone without their consent, and pushing for personal details — real names, addresses, financial information. Break these and you can be reported, blocked, and removed. Treat whoever appears on your screen the way you'd want a stranger to treat someone you love. It really is that simple.
Your camera and microphone are controlled by your browser, not by us — it asks before anything switches on, and you can revoke that permission in your browser settings whenever you like. OpenTalk.tv doesn't keep a public profile of you, and your conversations aren't published or archived for others to see. The details live in the Privacy Policy, written in plain language.
We won't pretend any platform can guarantee that every person behaves perfectly. What we can do is keep the space adults-only, make the exits instant, and make sure the controls are real — after that, the rest is up to the two people in the conversation.
If Something Goes Wrong
Uncomfortable match? Leave — that's always allowed and always instant. Someone crossed a line? Block them and file a report on your way out.
